Consultations made in Aichi Prefecture: The portion of the medical expenses (30%) that should be paid by the patient are covered by this medical subsidy. As a result, children consultations will be free of charge until before they complete 15 years old (until the first March 31st after completing 15 years old). When consulting a physician, please do not forget to present the “Medical Subsidy for Children“ card and the Health Insurance card at the counter.
Consultations made in other Prefectures: If you need to consult a doctor in another Prefecture, it is not possible to use the child’s medical subsidy card. In this case, you will need to pay the individual’s portion of the medical expense (30%) and afterwards, you will need to apply for its reimbursement at the City Hall (please see the explanations written below).
