In order to secure a safe and tranquil life, the "Neighborhood Board" promotes various activities aiming the exchange and cooperation  among residents. Cleaning of publics areas, conservation of garbage collection spots, traffic safety campaign, crime & disaster prevention volunteer groups, circulation of bulletin board, organization of festivals and sports events  are some of the activities  organized by the Neighborhood Board (Jichiku). The majority part of these activities is sponsored by the residents' fees.

You are also welcomed to join the Neighborhood Board. Apart from getting informed, this is also a good opportunity to interact with people of your neighborhood and have a nice experience in Japan.
