City of Detroit
The City of Detroit is located in the southeastern part of Michigan State and is well-known for its automotive industry. It is a big city with the population of about one million, and is also known as the home of popular music's "Motown Sound", which flourished throughout the 60s and 70s.
 On September 21, 1960, Toyota City and Detroit became Sister Cities. Since then, the exchange of goodwill missions, high school students and other programs on a people-to-people level have helped to deepen mutual understanding and ties of friendship.

 Derbyshire is located in the middle part of England. Rich in scenic spots and historic places, many travellers visit Derbyshire every year. It is also an area of of advanced business and industry, where a number of internationally-known companies have chosen to make large investments. In 1992, Toyota Motor Corp. established its European production plant at Burnaston in Derbyshire.
  On November 16, 1998, Toyota City and the Councils of Derbyshire County, Derby City, and South  Derbyshire District signed a Twinning Agreement, whose aim is to foster ties of friendship and mutual understanding.
