|
(1)
|
Interested people should be registered or working in Toyota City. |
|
(2)
|
The person should be in need of housing.
- If the applicant or any family member possesses a house/property, it will not be able to apply for Toyota City housing.
- In addition, people who already live in municipal and provincial public housing are not eligible to apply.
|
|
(3)
|
Interested people should be living together or should intend to live together. People planning to get married or people that are already co-habiting are allowed to apply for Toyota public housing before the solemnization of the wedding (3 months). Applications from family members whose registration are irregular will not be accepted. |
|
(4)
|
Applicants should comply with income requirements established by the Public Housing Regulations. |
|
(5)
|
Applicants should not have default in payment of municipal taxes. The Certificate of Full Payment of Taxes will be required. |
|
| Housing for Single People |
| Apart from having to comply with the rules mentioned above in items 1, 2, 4 and 5, applicants meeting some of the criteria below (item No. 6) may apply for Toyota Public Housing: |

People who may prove they are single, widowed or divorced by documents issued by civil registration offices. |
|
(7)

a)
|
People who are more than complete 60 years old on the day of application (However, people who are complete 50 years old on April 1, 2006 are eligible to apply)
|
|
b)
|
People holding an identification booklet for physically disabled people (degrees 1 to 4)
|
|
c)
|
People holding an identification booklet for mentally disabled people (degrees 1 to 3)
|
|
d)
|
People holding an identification booklet for intellectual disabled people (degrees A to C)
|
|
e)
|
Victims of war (recognized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare)
|
|
f)
|
Victims of the atomic bomb (recognized by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare)
|
|
g)
|
People supported by the Social Welfare System
|
|
h)
|
Repatriated people (people who were repatriated less than 5 years ago)
|
|
i)
|
People with Hansen's disease who were hospitalized at treatment facilities
|
|
j)
|
Victims of domestic violence (it is necessary to present a certificate issued by a public organization)
|
|
|

|
People who have no difficulties in performing daily living activities. |
|
| Housing for physically disabled people who use wheelchairs |
| Apart from having to comply with the rules mentioned above in items 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, applicants should meet the following criteria (9) to apply for Toyota Public Housing: |

|
Households with more than 3 people who have members holding an identification booklet for physically disabled people of degrees 1 to 4 or people holding an identification booklet for victims of the war, special category to level 1 that have disabilities in the inferior limb and need wheelchairs. |

| Housing for Elderly People |
| Apart from having to comply with the rules mentioned above in items 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, applicants should meet some of the following criteria (10 & 11) to apply for Toyota Public Housing: |

Married couple with more than complete 65 years old (the spouse should have more than complete 60 years old) |
| b) |
Household comprised of two consanguineous brothers with more than 65 years old (one of them should be more than complete 60 years old) |
| c) |
Seniors above complete 65 years old. |

|
Applicants should have no difficulties in performing daily living activities. |
|
| Special Public Rental Housing |
| Apart from having to comply with the rules mentioned above in items 1, 3 and 5, applicants should meet the following criteria to apply for Toyota Public Housing: |

Applicants should meet the income criteria established by the regulations for Special Public Rental Housing. |
|
| Income limitation criteria |
| The income of the applicant and co-habiting family members will be taken into consideration. |

General household: approximately 4,150,000 yen |
|
(2)
|
Housing for Households with Disabled or Elderly People: approximately 5,170,000 yen |
|
(3)
|
Special Public Rental Housing: from 4,150,000 to 9,760,000 yen (approximately) |

The examples above are approximated values for a 2-people household. Elderly people household is the one in which all members are more than 50 years old (in this case, children below 18 years old are allowed). In case of disabled people household, one of the members should hold an identification booklet for physically disabled people of degrees 1 to 4. |

| How to apply |
| Applications are limited to one application per household. Please submit the application form and necessary documents to the Urban Maintenance Department, Public Housing Division (Toyota City Hall, West Building, 5th floor). The necessary documents are described in the informative booklet. More detailed information on apartment vacancies and municipal housing can be obtained at the Public Housing Division. |

*Reception desk is from Mondays to Fridays (except on National holidays), from 8:30 to 17:15h.

*On April 7, 2010 the reception desk is from 10:00AM to 2:00PM.

Application modality
|
|
|
Applications for Toyota Public Housing are on a waiting list basis.
Applicants will be noticed as soon as vacancies are available.
|
|
*On April 7, 2010 there will be a lottery to define the order for application for the waiting list.
|
|
|

Public Construction and Housing Division (Toyota City Hall, West Building, 5th floor).
*On April 7, 2010 applications should be made at the Industrial & Cultural Center, Multi-purpose auditorium.

*People who do not live in Toyota City are required to submit an employment certificate issued by the employer to certify they work in Toyota City.
*Fiancés are required to fill the Engagement Statement (on the reverse side of application form).

| Important Remarks |

Parking spaces are not available at Iwakura and Hamaiba Housing Complexes. |

(2)
|
In Nakagawara Public Housing, there are 30 vacancies for families that have a second car. The monthly utilization fee is of 4,200 yens. It is necessary to pay a deposit of 12,600 yens. |

Households composed of 4 or fewer members are not allowed to apply for Asahigaoka (4DK, 3LDK) and Higashiyama (Building H, 4DK) Housing Complexes. |

Housing for people that use wheelchair: Nakane, Suigen II, Higashiyama I e II. In these housings, in order to facilitate daily life of people who use wheelchairs, some apparatus such as grab rails, etc, are available in the bathroom and toilet.
In Higashiyama I housing, stove and heater devices are electrical. Gas supply is not available.

Totally electrified housing: in the Higashiyama Housing Complex I (2DK and apartments for physically disabled people) there is no gas supply. Appliances in the toilet and kitchen, boilers are all electrical. |

Specially designed to facilitate elderly people’s daily activities, these apartments have few differences in the floor’s level, grab rails in the bathroom and toilet, emergency boozer, etc. |

Extra services: visits of life support advisors, emergency response service, etc. These services are charged and range from 0 to 4,900 yen, depending on the person’s income. Interested people should also bear part of the cost. |
