| Bicycles
left
unattended may cause obstruction and nuisance to pedestrians! |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Bicycles left unattended on public streets cause the obstruction of passage for pedestrians and other bicycles. When left unattended for a long time, these bicycles really cause nuisance to everyone and pollute our city. Please park your bicycle in an appropriate place or parking lot. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
In Toyota, there are many areas where it is prohibited to park bicycles. If bicycles are found in these areas, a warning note will be sticked on your bicycle. If the bicycle is not removed, it will be collected and sent to the "Asahigaoka Deposit of Retained Bicycles". If the bicycle is locked with a chain and attached to any object, the chain will be cut and then the bicycle will be removed and sent to the deposit. In this case, the value of the chain will not be reimbursed. The bicycle will be kept in the deposit until the owner goes there to pick it. In case there is any identification in the bicycle, the administration will contact the owner. After 2 months, if there is no claim, the retained bicycle will be disposed. Even when bicycles are parked in public parking areas and in areas where parking are allowed, if left unattended for more than 7 days, they will be collected after receiving 2 warning notes. |

Automobiles |

| Abandoned
automobiles cause nuisance to everyone. |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Abandoned automobiles on public
streets cause the obstruction of passage for other vehicles and
pedestrians. When an abandoned vehicle is found, the Traffic Safety
Division, in
cooperation with the Police Department, investigate and locate the
owner of the vehicle and then request him/her to remove the abandoned
vehicle. Vehicles abandoned in national and provincial highways, parks, along the rivers and private properties are out of the City Hall's jurisdiction. In these cases, the administrators or agencies in charge will be responsible for removing the vehicle. Please contact the Traffic Safety Division if you have any questions on which agency you should contact. |
