December 1: World AIDS Day
In the world, the number of people infected with HIV and the number of AIDS patients has increased abruptly and the same trend has been observed in Japan. In order to protect yourself and your partner, it is important to acquire correct knowledge about HIV and AIDS and ways of preventing it. The first important step is to make periodical tests.

AIDS Quick Test
Daytime testing: December 2 (Thu), reception desk from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Nighttime testing: November 25 (Thu), December 9 (Thu), reception desk from 6 pm to 7pm.
- Apart from the schedule above, tests are held every month on specified dates. (Tests are not held during National holidays and Year-End holidays. For more details, please, check the “Koho Toyota” newsletter or Toyota City’s homepage).
Place: Toyota Health Center – 2F. Test: AIDS quick test (the result is given in 1 hour, anonymous, reservations are not necessary). Information: please contact the Infectious Disease Prevention Division. Tel.: (0565) 34.6180.

Handicrafts course for children and parents / guardians
(1) LED Christmas lights
Date: December 18 (Sat) from 2pm. Participants: Elementary school students. Fee: 500 yen.

(2) Japanese kite for New Year's events
Date: December 19 (Sun) from 2 pm. Participants: Elementary school students. Fee: 50 yen.

Place: Toyota City “Monozukuri” Support Center (next to Homi Junior High School). Required time: about 2 hours. Number of participants: for each course, 15 pairs on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional information: the child should participate with a parent/guardian. For safety reasons, please avoid bringing other siblings that will not join the course. Please come with comfortable clothes for handicraft making. Application and information: from November 23 (Tue) from 9 am at Toyota City “Monozukuri” Support (Tel.: 0565-43.3456), in Japanese (the center is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 5pm).

Daytime Pipe Organ Concert

Date: December 2 (Thu) from 11:30 am. Place: Concert Hall. Performers: Mr. Yamaguchi Ryoki (pipe organ), Ms. Eda Masako (soprano). Music (composer): O Holly Night (Adolphe Adam), Christmas Medley and others. Entrance fee: 500 yen/adults, 100 yen/students and children above 3 years old (all seats are non-reserved ones). Nursery care service: available for children above 1 year old to pre-school age children. 1,000 yen per child. For applications, please contact the “Hinata Bokko” Day-Care Center at (0565) - 34.5008 until November 27th.
