Toyota Folk Craft Museum’s Festival & Folkloric Performing Arts
As part of the activities for the preservation of traditional arts, the Toyota Folk Craft Museum’s traditional arts club will organize a bazaar where you can enjoy traditional food; artworks made during the classes; hands-on classes of fabric dyeing, glass beads; violin performance, etc. Date: November 13 (Sat) from 10 am to 3 pm (canceled in case of heavy rain). Let’s make “washi” Christmas card and wreaths
On this event, you will learn how to make Christmas cards and wreaths made of hand-made Japanese papers (“washi”). “Washi” are produced using as raw materials paper mulberry fibers (“Kozo”). Date: December 5 (Sun) from 10 am to 12 pm. Place: Obara Paper Art Museum – Art and Craft Center (“Washi no Furusato - Washi Kogeikan”). Fee: \1,500 (materials included). Number of participants: 20 people (Elementary School students and older on a first-come, first-served basis. Children below 3rd year Elementary school should be accompanied by parents).
