Application for Toyota City Daycare -Kindergartens “Kodomo-en” (Fiscal Year 23)
For more detailed information, please consult the informative guide that will be distributed with the application form.

Eligibility: children eligible from the 0 year-old class (born from April 2, 2010) to 5 year- old class (born from April 2, 2005 to April 1, 2006) (Admission eligibility depends on each “Kodomo-en”).

First application period ( until November 8):
New applicants: application forms can be obtained at the “Kodomoen” of your first choice from October 28 (Thu) to November 8 (Mon) except on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays. Submission of documents & interviews: from mid-November on the day scheduled by each “Kodomoen”. The child should also attend the interview with parents / guardians. Confirmation of enrollment: a confirmation letter will be sent around mid-February, 2011. Those already attending a “Kodomoen”: in late October, the nursery school will inform the necessary procedures / documents for following fiscal year.

Second application period ( from November 9, 2010)
New applicants / children attending “Kodomoen”: from November 9 (Tue) to January 28, 2011 (Fri). In case of “Kodomoen” located in the districts before the annexation process of Toyota City, applications should be submitted to the Nursery School and Kindergarten Management Division at the City Hall. “Kodomoen” located in other areas, applications should be made at the correspondent municipal branch office on a first-come, first-served basis. Please bring your inkan (personal seal). Enrollments will be defined after the confirmation of enrollment of the first application period (around mid-February of 2011). A confirmation letter will be sent.

Volunteer support group for foreigners in the event of large-scale disasters: training course

This event aims at providing a training course for people who can assist foreigners in the event of a large-scale natural disaster. Volunteers will gain knowledge and be trained as interpreters and translators to assist in the dissemination of information and provide consultations on large-scale natural disasters. Dates: November 20, December 4 & 18 (all dates are on Saturdays), from 13:00 to 16:00h. Eligibility: people who can attend all three sessions, speak Japanese and other foreign languages and after the training course be registered as “Toyota City foreigners’ volunteer support for emergency situations and disasters”. Number of participants: 30 people. Fee: not charged. Remarks: No preference for specific languages. Nursery services are not available. Applications: application forms will be distributed from October 19(Tue), at the Toyota International Association – TIA, Toyota City Hall Information Corner, municipal branch and public halls.
