Subsidies for Private Senior High Schools
Eligibility: parents and guardians who have children attending private senior high schools or other equivalent educational institution (3 years course term) and do not receive any kind of school discount or Prefectural subsidy. Also, students of evening or correspondence course high school or specialization courses are not qualified. Annual subsidy: 15,000 yen. Application forms: application forms will be distributed by schools in late September. If the student attends a school outside Aichi Prefecture, please consult the Education Administration Division. Japanese language classes for foreigners

Period: September 26 to December 19, on Sundays (10 classes). Classes: (1) 10 am to 12 pm (2) 1 pm to 3 pm. Places: (1) Fukadayama Auditorium (2) Takahashi Public Hall. Targeted people: foreigners interested in learning Japanese. Course contents: Japanese language and culture. Participation fee: 1,000 yen per term (textbooks not included). Number of participants: for class no. (1) 15 people; for class no. (2) 20 people. Japanese Culture Day
Would you like to learn a little about the Japanese culture? Date: October 9th (Sun) from 12:00 pm to 3 pm. Place: “Kirakutei” (Industrial & Cultural Center). Eligibility: foreigners who live in or near to Toyota City. Events: kimono dressing, “origami” (Japanese paper folding), calligraphy, flower arrangement, tea ceremony.
