Administration of vaccines

Vaccination coupons will be sent when the recommended period for their administration comes. When you receive a vaccination coupon, administer it as soon as possible by making a reservation at a medical institution and taking along the “Maternal and Child Handbook”. In case of change of address or misplacement of the coupon, please contact the Infectious Disease Prevention Division.

Vaccine administered in groups: Poliomyelitis
- Reception: from 1:30 pm to 2 pm. Explanation / Consultation: from 2 pm.
- If the baby is not in good health condition or if s/he is still taking other vaccines it is possible to administer the polio vaccine on other dates and/or venues. Check the schedule in this newsletter or at Toyota City’s homepage. Reservations are not necessary for polio vaccination.

Vaccine administered individually: BCG, DPT, Measles and Rubella Combined Vaccine, DP (2nd phase) and Japanese Encephalitis. Reservation is necessary.
- Japanese encephalitis vaccine - 1st phase: From the current fiscal year, dispatching of vaccination coupons has started for children that will turn 3 years old. For children between 4 and incomplete 7.5 years old, vaccination coupons may be issued individually upon request. Information: Infectious Disease Prevention Division (0565) 34.6180.

Private Kindergartens: applications for the next fiscal year
Distribution of application forms: from September 1 (Wed) at each kindergarten. Submission of application forms: from October 1 (Fri) at the kindergarten of your choice. Other institutions: information on applications for "Kodomoen" and private nursery schools will be announced in this newsletter on the edition of October, 15th. Information: please contact each kindergarten for more detailed information.

Fire safety and prevention event

Date: September 12 (Sun) from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. Place: North Fire Station (Shigo-cho). In case of heavy weather some activities may be suspended. Exhibition Corner: exhibition of photos of disasters, emergency food, housing emergency equipments, etc. Experiment Corner: ride on an aerial ladder truck (numbered tickets needed), ride on a mini fire-fighting vehicle, smoke path, earthquake simulator, spraying of water, handmade fire truck, etc. Demonstration Corner: Fire Department Band's performance, demonstration of the smoke ventilation car.
