National pension: exemption or postponement of payment
People who are facing financial difficulties can apply for exemption or postponement of payment of pension insurance premiums of the fiscal year 23 (July 2011 to June 2012) from July 1st. People who received total exemption or postponement of insurance premiums in the fiscal year 22 and applied for its extension do not need to submit again this time. However, in case the result of extension for exemption or postponement is not satisfactory and you wish to try partial exemption, reapplication is needed. Place for submission: National Health Insurance and Pension Division, branch and sub-branch offices. What you will need: Pension booklet, personal seal (inkan). ※People who moved to Toyota City on or after January 2, 2011 must bring the Certificate of Income (Fiscal Year 23) issued by the municipality where the person was registered on January 1, 2011. People who left their jobs must bring the Certificate of Job Termination (Rishokuhyo). They will also examine all family members’ income of the previous year. Important: If you received total or partial exemption of pension premiums, it is possible to recover the period by paying the exempted contribution retroactively for up to 10 years (“extra payment”) and it will be considered as a full amount contribution payment. Please note that retroactive payment is subject to additional amount to be paid if the contribution was due more than 3 years ago. Photo contest: “International”
Qualification: Junior High School students or persons equal age and above, up to 35 years old. All nationalities are welcome. Content: Photograph of a scenery, person, or something associated with the word “International”.　Both black and white, and color photographs are accepted. Other information: The winner of the contest will be awarded at International Day event held on October 2nd (Sun). The pictures are going to be displayed at referred event hall, as well as at the south building of the City Hall, by the entrance lobby, from October 4th (Tue). Entry period: July 5th, 2011 (Tue) ~ August 12th (Fri). Entry sheet: Flyers will be available at City Hall, Public Halls and TIA.
