Important procedures for foreign residents: free consultations
Date: May 10 (Mon), from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. Number of people: 4 persons (first-come, first-served basis, 45 minutes per person). Place: Citizens’ Guidance Division. Eligibility: people who live or work in Toyota. Consultant: administrative scrivener about immigration issues. Contents: VISA, international marriage, naturalization, etc. (consultations are free of charge and confidential). Applications: from April 5 (Mon), from 8:30am at the Citizens’ Guidance Division (0565-34.6626).
Private Kindergarten: provision of partial subsidies for tuition fees
Eligible people: parents whose children live in Toyota and attend private kindergartens. Value of the subsidy: please consult the kindergarten or Toyota City’s homepage (http://www.city.toyota.aichi.jp/). Procedures: application forms are available at the kindergarten. Submit it to the kindergarten not later than April 28 (Wed). Information: at each kindergarten or at the Nursery School and Kindergarten Management Division (0565)34.6809.
Japanese Cuisine for Every Season
When: Classes will take place 4 times a year on Saturdays. The first class will be on April 17 (Sat), from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. Where: ASTE. Address: 43, Honmachi Honryu, Toyota. Tel.: 0565-52.0362. Access: by pick-up bus, available from Takemura station on Meitetsu Mikawa Line. Pick-up time: 9:45 am. Participants: foreign residents who live in and around Toyota City. Maximum number of participants accepted: 15 people. Children are not allowed to attend the class. Contents: - cooking and tasting of Japanese dishes; - recipes and explanation are available in English and Japanese (we can provide interpreters for Korean and other languages upon request). Instructor: Mrs. Kuniko Kuwana. Fee: \520 (fee includes ingredients, a cap and a mask). Application: starting from April 6 (Tue), 10 am at Toyota International Association (0565-37.0400).
