Fiscal Year 23 - “Kodomoen”: applications for mid-term enrollment.
Eligible institutions: “Kodomoen”. Applications: a) For mid-term enrollment in April: from March 8 (Tue) to 18 (Fri), except on Saturdays, Sundays & National Holidays. b) For mid-term enrollment from May 1st: from 1st to 20th of the previous month of the desired month (Ex: previous month of the month parents/guardians will start working), except on Saturdays, Sundays and National Holidays. Office hours: from 8:30 am to 5:15 pm. Places: (1) former Toyota City area: a) for April’s mid-term enrollment, exceptionally on March 8 (Tue), from 8:30 am to 9 am, the reception desk will be at Toyota City Hall, South Building, 4F, Main Conference Room. On this same day, applicants that arrive after 9 am should submit applications to the “Nursery Schools and Kindergarten Management Division” on the 1st floor. b) applications for mid-term enrollment from May 1, 2010 should be submitted at the same division mentioned above. (2) former Asahi, Asuke, Inabu, Obara, Shimoyama, Fujioka districts: applications will be accepted at each municipal branch office. Procedures: applications will be accepted on a first-come, first served basis; bring your personal seal; it is possible to apply for a maximum of three institutions. However, if these institutions are in different regions, applications should be made at the respective municipal office. Important remarks: a) only on March 8 (Tue), from 8:30 am to 9 am, numbered tickets will be distributed in order to define the order for the lottery; b) application procedures at the 4th floor require a long time and the venue gets crowded. So, please come with enough time and avoid coming with so many people; c) if the number of applicants exceeds the number of vacancies, the application will be included in the waiting list. Japanese Language Classes for Foreigners
Period: on Sundays, 10 classes (January 23 & 30; February 6, 13, 20 & 27; March 6, 13 & 27; April 3).
Places: 1) Fukadayama Auditorium, time: 10 a.m. to noon, number of participants: 15 people (first-come, first-served basis); 2) Takahashi Public Hall, time: 1 p.m. to 3 pm, number of participants: 20 people (first-come, first-served basis).
Participation fee: 1,000 per course (10 times).

Japanese Cuisine for Every Season: “Winter”
Date / time: January 29 (Sat), 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The class will take place 4 times a year on Saturdays. Place: ASTE (Address: Honmachi Honryu, 43, Toyota). Tel.: (0565) 52-0362. Access: By pick-up bus available from Takemura Station on Meitetsu Mikawa Line; departure time: 9:45 a.m. Participants: Foreign residents who live in and around Toyota City; Maximum number of participants: 15 adults. Content: Cooking and tasting of Chirashi Sushi and some other side dishes. Recipes and explanation will be available in English and Japanese. Bring your own apron. Instructor: Mrs. Kuniko Kuwana. Fee: 520 yens (fee includes ingredients, a cap and a mask).
